MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 13, 1993 Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 93-10-319 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 22, 1993 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AS CORRECTED The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Hanson, Scalze, Morelan. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ASSESSMENT Hanson opened the continuation of assessment hearing HE~I2ING - for the improvement of LaBore Road between the east LABORE RD. line of DeSoto Street to the west line of Edgerton Street by street reconstruction and storm sewer improvements. The amount to be assessed is $66,595.66. The City Administrator reported that the assessment hearing was continued from last night's meeting due to the fact that the assessment has increased from the amount included in the hearign notice for the Neamy property. The Administrator reported that he contacted Mrs. Neamy about the change in her assessment which is due to the orientation of a second lot to LaBore Road. While Mrs. Neamy was concerned about the amount of the assessment, she indicated that she was not planning to contest it. Mrs. Neamy indicated that she may pursue development of a second lot, and the Administrator informed her of her options, one of which is the development deferral. Mrs. Neamy was unable to attend this evening's meeting. There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Scalze, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was closed. Mrs. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 93-10-320 - ADOPTING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR IMPROVEMENT N0. 92-5, LABORE ROAD, AS PRESENTED The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Morelan, Pedersen. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Page 2
