MINiI'PES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVElSBER 16, 1993 <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-11-258 - APPROVING THE APPLICATION <br />FOR SENIOR CITIZEN DEFERMENT SUBMITTED BY MR. AND MRS. <br />VERNON HANSON, AS WELL AS APPLICATIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT <br />DEFERMENTS SUBMITTED BY MS. ANITA TORALA AND MRS. JOANN <br />NEAMY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />MOGREN The City Administrator reviewed the letter received <br />STOCKPILE from Mr. Mogren requesting an extension for removal of <br />the stockpile on his property at South Owasso Blvd. and <br />Spruce Street until July of 1994. The City <br />Administrator recommended that the Council require a <br />letter of credit from Mr. Mogren if the Council is <br />agreeable to the extension. In that way, should the <br />stockpile not be removed, the City could have it <br />removed and recover the cost through the letter of <br />credit, subject to an agreement documenting same. <br />LaValle pointed out that Mr. Mogren has made some <br />progress on removinq the dirt. <br />Morelan asked if Mogren has made a reasonable effort <br />and whether the deadline imposed by the City was a <br />reasonable one. <br />LaValle pointed out that last summer was wet that this <br />impeded the progress Mogren could make. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-11-259 - APPROVING AN EXTENSION TO <br />JULY, 1994 FOR REMOVAL OF STOCKPILE ON THE MOGREN <br />PROPERTY AT SOUTIi OWASSO BLVD. AND SPRUCE STREET <br />SUBJECT TO MR. MOGREN ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH <br />TIiE CITY, THAT AGREEMENT TO INCLUDE A PENALTY CLAUSE <br />AND GUARANTEE FOR REMOVAL BY THE SPECIFIED DATE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Hanson, Morelan, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CHANGE IN The City Administrator reported that there was some <br />COUNCIL confusion in the information provided for the Truth <br />MEETING in Taxation Hearing process, and it has come to <br />DATE staff's attention that the City must adopt its 1994 <br />budget on or before December 20th. The Council has <br />scheduled its Truth in Taxation hearing for Wednesday, <br />Page 5 <br />
