MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
NOVII~~ER 16, 1993
ordinance amendment correcting this oversight so that
the same licensing requirements apply to both saunas
and massage parlors.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 93-11-262 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY
ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT WHICH WOULD
REQUIRE THE SAME LICENSING REQUIREMENTS FOR BOTH SAUNAS
AND MASSAGE PARLORS
The foreqoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Pedersen, Morelan.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
PUBLIC Dave Harris, Public Works Superintendent, appeared
WORRS before the Council reporting that the City of Roseville
TRUCR will be selling two snow plow trucks at auction.
PURCHASE The Superintendent reported that purchase of these two
Roseville vehicles would be a way to upgrade Little
Canada's fleet. With the addition of another
plow truck to Little Canada's fleet, it may be possible
to eliminate the County's service with the City using
them for emergency back-up. The City would still have
to rely on the County for plowing services during large
snowfalls.
The City Administrator reported that the City has not
definitely determined that the County's snow plow
services would be discontinued, but purchase of the two
vehicles would afford the City the option. The City
used to pay the County between $18,000 and $20,000 for
plowing services when they did the entire City, and
that amount has been reduced to $4,000 or $5,000,
although there is some offset in the overtime the City
Page 7
