MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 24, 1993 <br />main may have to be a dead end line since easements <br />would have to be obtained in order to loop the line. <br />The Engineer reported that an 8-inch line would be <br />required if the line were dead-ended. The Engineer <br />also suqgested that he would envision a water main <br />project for this area when the property at 756 County <br />Road B-2 develops. The Enqineer pointed out that the <br />area is pretty much developed with the exception of <br />this property, and the Engineer pointed out that he is <br />unsure how many lots could be developed from this <br />parcel. <br />Scalze asked if there was road right-of-way for <br />Gilanderi Lane. <br />The City Administrator replied that that was his <br />understanding and reported that the City plows the <br />street to the top of the hill. <br />Scalze asked if there were any restrictive covenants <br />governing how the road crosses property. <br />The Administrator did not know, and pointed out that a <br />portion of the road may be on Highway 36 right-of-way. <br />The Administrator suggested that the best approach may <br />be for the staff to meet with the property owners and <br />explain the various options. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-11-273 - ACCEPTING THE PETITION FOR <br />WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT ON VIKING DRIVE/GILANDERI LANE, <br />AND DIRECTING CITY STAFF TO CONDUCT A NEIGHBORHOOD <br />MEETING TO DISCUSS THE PROJECT OPTIONS <br />The foregoinq resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Pedersen, Morelan. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />RECESS At this point in the meeting, 8:55 P.M., Council took a <br />short recess. The meeting was reconvened at 9:08 P.M. <br />BUDGET The City Administrator pointed out discussion at the <br />DISCUSSIONS last budget workshop regarding adjustments in the <br />proposed 1994 Budget. The Administrator requested that <br />the Council ratify those adjustments as well as his <br />additional recommendations to lower the budget. The <br />Administrator reported that he would then revised the <br />proposed budget document accordingly and submit to the <br />Page 15 <br />
