MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 24~ 1993 <br />*APPROVAL OF THE CITY'S LETTER OF INTENT INDICATING <br />THAT THE CITY WOULD EXPECT OUR CONTRACT FOR LAW <br />ENFORCEMENT SERVICES WITH THE RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S <br />DEPARTMENT TO BE RENEWED FOR 1994 BASED ON THE 1994 <br />BUDGET ESTIMATE PREPARED AUGUST 19, 1993 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, Hanson, Scalze. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />MASSAGE The City Attorney submitted two ordinances for Council <br />PARIARS review relating to the licensinq of massage parlors in <br />the City. The first relates to the requirement of <br />licensing for massage parlors. The Administrator <br />reported that the ordinance now specifically addresses <br />only saunas. The second ordinance refers to the City's <br />$10 licensing fee unless the City's ordinance or a <br />Council resolution establishes a different fee. The <br />Attorney recommended the adoption of both ordinances to <br />address the licensing of massage parlors within the <br />City. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following ordinance and <br />moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 373 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION <br />814.030 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LTTTLE <br />CANADA, RELATING TO LICENSING FEES <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Hanson, Pedersen, Morelan. <br />Nays (O). Ordinance declared adopted. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following ordinance and <br />moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 374 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION <br />2201.020 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE <br />CANADA, RELATING TO THE LICENSING OF MASSAGE PARLORS <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Hanson, Pedersen, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Ordinance declared adopted. <br />RELLER The City Engineer submitted a feasibility report <br />PARKWAY for the improvement of Keller Parkway and Lakeside <br />FEASIBILITY Court by water main. The report contains two <br />REPORT improvement alternatives, one to do the water main <br />improvement in conjunction with the County's road <br />improvement, and the other without participating in the <br />County's project. The Engineer pointed out that <br />restoration costs would be saved by putting in the <br />Page 8 <br />
