MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 8, 1993 <br />better than a slatted chain-link fence. <br />Scalze wondered whether the property owners across <br />South Owasso would prefer to look at slatted chain-link <br />versus wood. Scalze asked if the recommendation <br />pertained to the I-P District in addition to the <br />Industrial District. <br />The City Administrator replied that the recommendation <br />pertained to the Industrial District only. <br />Scalze suggested that any ordinance revision contain a <br />provision addressing maintenance. <br />The City Administrator reported that the ordinance may <br />already address maintenance, and the change that is <br />being recommended is to add slatted chain-link to the <br />list of acceptable screening materials in the <br />Industrial District. It was also noted that this would <br />involve an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance which <br />requires a public hearing. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-12-285 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY <br />ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT ALLOWING <br />SLATTED CHAIN-LINK FENCING AS AN ACCEPTABLE SCREENING <br />MATERIAL IN THE INDUSTRIAL DISTRiCT, AND CALLING FOR <br />CONSIDERATION OF THIS ORDINANCE AMENDMENT BY THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION AT THEIR JANUARY 13TH MEETING AND <br />CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING BY THE CITY COUNCIL AT ITS <br />JANUARY 26, 1994 REGULAR MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Pedersen, Hanson, LaValle, Scalze. <br />Nays (O).
