The City Administrator reported that the developers
ItEDEVELOP- are working on the Rice Street redevelopment project,
MENT and have indicated confidence that there will be a
project. However, the City has received no additional
information on their proposal, and at this point there
is no contractual relationship between the City and the
developers.
Morelan noted that it will take the City Council some
time to react to a development proposal. Therefore,
the more lead time the City has, the quicker a project
could be processed.
PUBLIC Hanson pointed out that the Public Works Department
'NfORRS has purchased a used truck from the City of Roseville.
TRUCK Public Works is now requesting that they be allowed to
obtain quotes for a plow wing for the truck as well as
for some minor repairs and painting.
Morelan asked if the plow wing was necessary and
whether or not it would improve plowing efficiency.
The Administrator replied that a plow wing will allow a
street to be plowed with two passes of the truck versus
the four that are now required. It also allows snow to
be pushed up onto boulevards without scalping the
grass. The Administrator reported that the plow wing
will improve efficiency. The City had budgeted $25,000
for a plow truck, and the total package including the
purchase of the Roseville truck, plow wing, and repairs
will,total approximately $20,000.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
Page 11
