MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MARCH 9, 1994 The Administrator stated that the intent would be to cast in stone only those items for the current budget year, except items 2 and 3 in the 10% Listing in 1994. Further planning and research is needed for those items, and this information would be brought back to the City Council for ratification. The Administrator stated that he was of the understanding that items 1 and 4 on the 10% Listing for the year 1994 were approved. Scalze again stated that it was her understanding that while the 10% CIP Budget had been approved, the individual items had not. Morelan stated that it was his understanding that the 10% CIP Budget was approved including the 1994 purchases, except for those two items which require further documentation. Scalze did not believe the Council~s resolution made that statement, however, noted that she voted against that resolution. Scalze asked if it had been determined if the Fire Department wanted to proceed with the CAD System. Pedersen stated that in rereading the minutes it appears that the Fire Department did want to proceed with that purchase. Morelan stated that previous discussion had been that the Department may not proceed with the system until 1995, however, the County is ready to go and the Fire Department has begun work for implementation of the system. Morelan was not sure whether the Fire Department had actually spent any money on upgrade of the CAD System as of yet, but thought it may be difficult to stop the program at this point. Scalze stated that it was her understanding that Fire Department uniforms had been purchased and the CAD System upgrade was underway, therefore, only the two sign improvements were beinq discussed. The Administrator stated that the Parks & Recreation Director was going to do some more research on the signs, and he would check the status of that research and report back to the Council. 19
