MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MARCA 23, 1994
requesting stop signs at Jackson and Lake Streets but
also the two corners at Jackson/Old County Road C and
Old County Road C/Lakeshore.
Morelan reported that he drove that way today, and did
not feel it was possible to travel the two 90 degree
corners at more than 25 miles per hour. Morelan also
didn't feel it was possible to build much speed between
those two corners. If necessary, a speed bump could
be installed later. Morelan agreed.
Scalze felt a stop sign should go on one of the corners
as well.
Hanson suggested that the City first try the signs at
Jackson and Lake Streets.
Scalze pointed out that a crosswalk was needed in that
location as well.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 94-3-79 - INSTRUCTING PUBLIC WORKS TO
INSTALL A THREE-WAY STOP AT THE INTERSECTION OF JACKSON
AND LAKE STREETS WITH APPROPRIATE WARNING SIGNS,
INCLUDING THE LARGER STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION, AS
WELL AS PAINT A CROSSWALK IN THAT LOCATION
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Hanson, Scalze, Pedersen.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
The City Administrator reported that the smart van
13
