MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MAY 25, 1994
CUP FOR Hanson opened the public hearing to consider the
ACCESSORY application submitted by Allan Foster of 2570
BUILDING - Jackson Street for a Conditional Use Permit to
2570 construct an accessory building on his property
JACKSON - bringing total accessory space to over 1,000 square
FOSTER feet in size. Hanson noted that the Planning
Commission recommended in favor of the CUP.
Hanson reported that he was contacted by a property
owner in the area asking if the garage would be a pole
building. Foster pointed
out that he has received approval from the watershed
for the location of the garage.
Hanson pointed out that the Foster property is quite
large.
Scalze asked if Foster planned to park business
equipment in the garage.
Foster replied that he only has two pick-up trucks
which would be stored in the garage.
The City Planner noted that the Code does not allow a
property owner to operate a business out of a
residential accessory building. The CUP is needed
since the total garage area that Foster would have with
the new structure would exceed 1,000 square feet.
Morelan asked if the qarage doors would face Jackson
Street. Morelan also asked if Foster intended to
15
