MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 13, 1994 <br />be reporting back on the specifics. <br />Morelan stated that the City of Roseville is involved <br />with NSP in getting power lines buried. Morelan <br />pointed out that the Community Pride Committee has <br />addressed this issue in the past. Morelan suggested <br />that the most economical time to bury the utilities <br />would be when road are being reconstructed. <br />The City Administrator reported that NSP made a <br />presentation on this issue at a Community Pride <br />Committee meeting, and indicated that the cost of <br />burying the lines is not borne by the utility company. <br />NSP does not encourage the practice due to the number <br />of lines involved as well as the cost. The <br />Administrator stated that he would speak with the City <br />of Roseville to find out the details of their project. <br />PARK Hanson indicated that the Park and Recreation <br />ACQUISITION Commission has requested authorization to discuss <br />ISSUE5 possible park easement acquisition with owners of the <br />Heinel, Hoelscher, and Nordstrom properties. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-7-176 - AUTHORIZING THE PARK AND <br />RECREATION COMMISSION TO DISCUSS POSSIBLE ACQUISITION <br />OF TRAIL EASEMENTS WITH THE OWNERS OF THE HEINEL, <br />HOELSCHER, AND NORDSTROM PROPERTIES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Hanson, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />USE OF Hanson reported that a private individual has asked <br />PIONEER authorization to use Pioneer Park for a private <br />PARK FOR fund-raiser for the benefit of a child who needs <br />TOURNAMENT medical treatment. Hanson questioned the liability <br />BY PRIVATE on the part of the City in allowing the park to be <br />INDIVIDUAL used for a private tournament. The individual is a <br />former resident of the City. In addition to <br />authorization to use the park, the individual is asking <br />for approval of a temporary liquor license. Hanson <br />reported that Council Member Scalze has indicated her <br />recollection that the Council decided that the park was <br />17 <br />
