MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JtJLY 13, 1994
Scalze asked if the storage would be visible from South
Owasso Blvd.
The Planner replied that it would unless the City
requires it to be screened from South Owasso Blvd. The
Planning Commission recommended screening from Spruce
Street, but felt development of the property to the
south would eventually provide screening from South
Owasso Blvd.
Stockness replied that he would use some type of
fencing to screen the outdoor storage.
Pedersen stated that he was inclined to support the
recommendation of the Planning Commission qiven the
reality of the soil conditions, the cost of soil
corrections, and the current market.
Stockness stated that he was concerned about the soil
conditions, but feels his project is a good one given
those conditions and the area itself. Morelan felt that Little Canada had a lot to
offer industrial businesses, and it seemed to him that
the 5 acres on Spruce Street would be a good location
for a nice industrial building regardless of soil
conditions. Morelan asked if the Council was willing
7
