MINIITES
CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 12, 1994
WODASZEWSKI The City Administrator explained that the assessment
ASSESSMENT for watermain improvement against the Wodaszewski
MATTER property in the amount of $2,485 was deferred in 1978.
In 1981, interest was levied against deferred
assessments in the amount of 10%. In 1991 Mrs.
Wodaszewski called and there was discussion about
levying the deferment against her property taxes, but
the issue was not fully resolved. Mrs. Wodaszewski
recently contacted the City again and would like the
assessment levied. The City Administrator recommended
that the assessment plus interest, which now amounts to
$4,970, be levied against the property for a 10-year
term at 6 3/4 percent interest, subject to Mrs.
Wodaszewski's written acceptance of these terms. She
has indicated her verbal acceptance. The Administrator
noted that his recommendation includes interest through
1991 due to the confusion which occurred.
Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 94-10-357 - LEVYING DEFERRED WATERMAIN
ASSESSMENT AGAINST THE WODASZEWSKI PROPERTY IN THE
AMOUNT OF $4,970.00 FOR A TERM OF TEN YEARS AT 6 3/4
PERCENT INTEREST SUBJECT TO MRS. WODASZEWSKI'S WRITTEN
ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS
The foreqoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Pedersen, Hanson, Morelan.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
KELLER The City Administrator reported that Mr. Chris Cardinal
PARKWAY/ has requested a three-way stop at the intersection of
T.AKESIDE Keller Parkway and Lakeside Court. This request was
COURT 5TOP forwarded to Ramsey County Public Works's Department
SIGN REQUEST and they have recommended against a stop sign on Keller
Parkway. The Sheriff's Department and Little Canada
Public Works Superintendent have reviewed the request,
and also recommend against it.
Chris Cardinal reported that the County's traffic study
of the area involved their putting up some traffic
counters for three days. Cardinal reported that the
idea of the stop sign was not to control traffic, but
to reduce traffic speeds. Cardinal reported that the
County looked at the request as strictly a stop sign.
12
