Resolution declared adopted.
PROPERTY Mr. Morris Jespersen appeared before the Council
DIVISION - requesting approval of the division of property
JESPERSEN located at 2885 Vanderbie Street into two lots.
The City Planner pointed out the reserve strip of land
which prevents access for the new lot to Costa Lane.
The Planner stated that the reserve strip was platted
to ensure that should the property ever be divided, the
developer would have to negotiate for the purchase of
this strip to gain access to the street which was paid
for by the developer.
Morelan pointed out that the existing driveway for the
Hanna home cuts across the front of the proposed lot.
The City Planner replied that the portion of the
driveway cutting in front of the proposed lot is
actually on Costa Lane right-of-way.
Mr. Jespersen reported that he has discussed this with
Mr. Hanna, and it may be possible to extend the Hanna
driveway to serve the home which would be built on the
new lot. Jespersen reported that the matter will be
worked out.
Morelan asked if there were setbacks regulating
driveway placement.
The City Planner that the Code only requires a setback
from property lines for curb cuts, and does not address
this particular situation.
3
