MINi1TES CITY COUNCIL NOVEPSBER 9 ~ 1994 Department. As a result a neighborhood watch group is being formed. A very high percentage of the residents are involved in this group. Also, the Sheriff's Department has been patrolling the area frequently, and stopping to say hello and get acquainted with the residents. Gustafson reported that there is a high interest on the part of the residents in moving forward to improve the neighborhood. Gustafson reported that the neighborhood is in favor of the sign postings as recommended by the Sheriff's Department. The Public Works Superintendent reported that there will be additional monthly charges of approximately $22.50 per month for each additional street light installed on Ruth Street. The Superintendent pointed out that the additional street lighting is a deviation from the City's street lighting policy. The Council felt that the lightinq was necessary. Council also discussed that sign postings should be coordinated with the Sheriff's Department as the Sheriff's Department deems appropriate. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 94-11-397 - INSTRUCTING THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT TO ORDER ADDITIONAL STREET LIGHTING FOR RUTH STREET AS OUTLINED IN HIS NOVEMBER 4, 1994 MEMO GIVEN THE UNUSUAL CIRCUMSTANCES WHICH EXIST IN THAT STREET LIGHTS WI-IICH WARRANT TI~IE PLACEMENT OF ADDITIONAL The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan.
