MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEPSBER 9, 1994 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Hanson, LaValle, Pedersen. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Morelan reported that there has been neighborhood <br />discussion about the posting of both sides of Ruth <br />5treet as no parking, and the neighborhood is not <br />comfortable with such a situation. <br />Gustafson reported that the Ruth Street residents are <br />not sure how to address the parking issue and are <br />continuing discussions on it. <br />Pedersen suggested that posting the street to prohibit <br />no overnight parking may be a solution. LaValle <br />suggested that enforcement may be a problem. <br />The Superintendent suggested that Ruth Street could be <br />posted as no parking between the hours of 2 A.M. and 6 <br />A.M. <br />Morelan pointed out that the Superintendent's <br />recommendation is that the east side of Ruth Street be <br />posted as no parkinq while the west side be posted as <br />restricted parking. <br />Gustafson reported that he would bring these <br />suggestions to the neighborhood. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-11-399 - TABLING ACTION ON TFIE <br />POSTING OF RUTH STREET RELATIVE TO PARKING UNTIL THE <br />NEXT COUNCIL MEETING, AND INSTRUCTING CITY STAFF TO <br />SEND A COPY OF TIIE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT~S <br />RECOMMENDATIONS ON THIS MATTER ALONG WITH TI-IE RUTH <br />STREET NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING NOTES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, LaValle, Hanson, Scalze, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PARKING The Public Works Superintendent reported that there <br />PROBLEM ON is a problem with semi-trucks parking on First Bank <br />FIRST BANK Drive. He stated these trucks are causing <br />DRIVE damage to the City's street. The Superintendent <br />22 <br />
