MINiJTES
CITY COUNCIL
NOVII+IBER 9, 1994
reported that some of the trucks are dropping their
trailers and storing them on the street for a few days.
The trailer pads are sinking down 4 to 5 inches into
the street causing extensive damage. Storage of the
trailers and trucks also causes a plowing problem
during the winter.
Morelan reported that he knows of three individuals who
park semi's on First Bank Drive on a routine basis.
Morelan stated that he has heard no complaints about
this practice.
5calze asked why the City would continue to allow City
streets to be used for storage of semi-trucks.
The Superintendent reported that the practice is
damaging the streets, and requested authorization to
post First Bank Drive as no parking.
Morelan agreed since this situation is causing street
damage.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 94-11-400 - AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS
SUPERINTENDENT TO POST FIRST BANK DRIVE BETWEEN MIDDLE
STREET AND MARKET DRIVE AS NO PARKING
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, fianson, Pedersen, Morelan.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
WESTWIND Pedersen asked the status of the paving of Westwind
TRAIL trail.
The Public Works Superintendent reported that the
paving was to be completed this week. However, there
are some problems with wet base, and it may be
necessary to delay paving until Spring.
CABLE TV Hanson reported that the City has received a$5,000
GRANT grant from the Cable Commission for the purchase of a
new character generator. A requirement of the grant is
that the City establish a separate account for Cable TV
franchise fees.
23
