MINiJTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVII+IBER 9, 1994 <br />reported that some of the trucks are dropping their <br />trailers and storing them on the street for a few days. <br />The trailer pads are sinking down 4 to 5 inches into <br />the street causing extensive damage. Storage of the <br />trailers and trucks also causes a plowing problem <br />during the winter. <br />Morelan reported that he knows of three individuals who <br />park semi's on First Bank Drive on a routine basis. <br />Morelan stated that he has heard no complaints about <br />this practice. <br />5calze asked why the City would continue to allow City <br />streets to be used for storage of semi-trucks. <br />The Superintendent reported that the practice is <br />damaging the streets, and requested authorization to <br />post First Bank Drive as no parking. <br />Morelan agreed since this situation is causing street <br />damage. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-11-400 - AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS <br />SUPERINTENDENT TO POST FIRST BANK DRIVE BETWEEN MIDDLE <br />STREET AND MARKET DRIVE AS NO PARKING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, fianson, Pedersen, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />WESTWIND Pedersen asked the status of the paving of Westwind <br />TRAIL trail. <br />The Public Works Superintendent reported that the <br />paving was to be completed this week. However, there <br />are some problems with wet base, and it may be <br />necessary to delay paving until Spring. <br />CABLE TV Hanson reported that the City has received a$5,000 <br />GRANT grant from the Cable Commission for the purchase of a <br />new character generator. A requirement of the grant is <br />that the City establish a separate account for Cable TV <br />franchise fees. <br />23 <br />
