MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEI"1BER 21, 1994 <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br /> Ayes (4) Scalze, LaValle, Hanson, Pedersen. <br /> Nays (0). <br /> Abstains (1) Morelan. Resolution declared adopted. <br />TRAN5FER Mr. Harvey Anderson reported that he is purchasing <br />OF SAXON the Saxon Lanes from Kraus-Anderson, and requested <br />LIQUOR approval of the transfer of the liquor licenses and <br />LICENSE cigarette license from Kraus-Anderson to him. Anderson <br /> reported that in taking over the business, it was his <br /> plan to discontinue the Mingles portion of the <br /> business. Anderson reported that he currently operates <br /> three other bowling centers in the Twin Cities area. <br /> Anderson stated that he is more comfortable operating a <br /> recreational-type bar for bowlers than a young people's <br /> night club. Anderson planned to have various games <br /> such as darts and pool tables installed in the current <br /> Mingles Lounge area. <br />The Administrative Assistant reported that it may be <br />necessary for Mr. Anderson to apply for a game room <br />license given his plans. Staff will review the Code <br />and inform Mr. Anderson if a game room license is <br />necessary. <br />The Administrative Assistant reported that Sheriff's <br />background checks on Mr. and Mrs. Anderson were <br />satisfactory. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-12-425 - APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF <br />ON-SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE, SUNDAY LIQUOR <br />LICENSE, AND CIGARETTE LICENSE FROM KRAUS-ANDERSON TO <br />HARVEY ANDERSON FOR OPERATION OF SAXON LANES FOR THE <br />LICENSE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 1995 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1995 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Morelan, Hanson, Pedersen, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator pointed out that the City's <br />liquor licensing period is July lst through June 30th, <br />and Kraus-Anderson is requesting a rebate of their <br />liquor license fee for the January 1st through June <br />30th time period. Given the fact that Mr. Anderson <br />will be paying a pro-rated liquor license fee for this <br />20 <br />
