MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEPiBER 21, 1994 <br />HYDRANTS <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-12-440 - DENYING APPROVAL OF THE <br />DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE RICE STREET GATEWAY <br />PROJECT AND REQUESTING THAT THE DEVELOPER AND <br />INVESTMENT GROUP MEET WITH THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND <br />OTHER CITY REPRESENTATIVES PRIOR TO THE NEXT REGULAR <br />COUNCIL MEETING TO DISCUSS THE STATUS OF THE PROJECT, <br />AND REQUESTING THAT THE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION SUBMIT <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENTS, IDENTIFY THE PRINCIPALS INVOLVED <br />IN THE PROJECT, LENGTH OF TIME IN BUSINESS, AND A <br />RESUME FROM THE DEVELOPER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by 5calze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Morelan, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Hanson requested assistance from Little Canada <br />residents in keeping hydrants clear during the winter <br />months for easy access by the Fire Department. <br />Morelan also reminded residents to keep second exits <br />clear in the event of an emergency. <br />ADDITIONAL The Administrator reported that the Ramsey County <br />PATROL OFFICER Sheriff's Department received approval of their grant <br />application for funding of an additional officer to <br />patrol the Rice Street corridor. The Administrator <br />recommended that the City's budget for police <br />protection remain the same, which will leave some <br />dollars for reserves. <br />KELLER The City Administrator reported that the County has <br />PARKWAY tentatively scheduled a joint neighborhood meeting of <br />ROAD Little Canada and Maplewood residents living along <br />IMPROVEMENT Keller Parkway for February lst to discuss improvement <br />of that road. Once the date of the meeting has been <br />finalized, notices will be mailed to residents, as well <br />as members of the City's Park & Recreation Commission. <br />The Administrator recommended that the Mayor and <br />Council Members also attend the meeting. <br />EAST BROOKS The Administrator reported that he held a neighborhood <br />NEIGHBORHOOD meeting with the East Brooks neighborhood on the <br />MEETING proposed improvement of that street. The result of <br />that meeting is that the neighborhood does not want the <br />36 <br />
