The Administrator reported <br />that in discussing matters with individual Council <br />Members, there have been times that his opinion has <br />changed after getting the perspectives and ideas of the <br />various Council Members. The Administrator also stated <br />that he has enjoyed working with each of the Council <br />Members. <br />Hanson felt that the interaction of the total City <br />Council has been excellent as well. <br />Pedersen rated the Administrator's Long Range Planning <br />performance at M+. Pedersen stated that he would like <br />to see more activity of this nature in non-financial <br />areas, finding out what other communities are doinq, <br />how the City can be more innovative. Pedersen felt <br />that, to date, the City's long range planning has been <br />focused in financial areas. <br />Hanson rated performance in Long Range Planning at E+, <br />noting the work done in the areas of the street <br />assessment policy and single-frontage water main <br />policy, and trying to come up with a fair and equitable <br />way to deal with these issues given all the variables <br />involved. Hanson also pointed out the long range <br />fiscal planning that the Administrator has been doing. <br />He encouraged the Administrator to continue his efforts <br />in the area of long range planning. <br />Scalze rated the Administrator's performance in this <br />area as E. Scalze encouraged the Council and <br />Administrator to do some strategic planning at the <br />upcoming February planning session. Scalze noted that <br />Administrator's decisiveness on the role that the City <br />Engineer should play in the City. <br />Morelan gave an E- rating, and commented that the <br />capital improvement budget was a huge step taken by the <br />City. The Administrator devoted a lot of time to this <br />document, but Morelan felt that certainly has paid off. <br />Morelan stated that he would like to see an on-goinq <br />customer feedback system put in place. <br />LaValle gave the Administrator an E rating in this <br />area, stating that he has done an excellent job. <br />Council next reviewed Relationship with Public/Public <br />Relations.
