MIN(JTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 18, 1995 <br />discussed on January 3oth, and asked that the water <br />main issue not be complicated with the road improvement <br />issue. Radford supported the water main improvement, <br />and informed those present that while they would not be <br />required to connect to City water main, it will be <br />something that they will be glad to have in the future <br />should their wells go out. Radford also pointed out <br />that the cost of the water main would be spread on <br />property taxes for a ten year period. <br />Morelan asked if curb and gutter were planned on Keller <br />Parkway. <br />The Administrator pointed out that this is a County <br />project, and the County does not typically install <br />concrete curb and gutter. The County did install <br />bituminous curbing on Little Canada Road. <br />Fahey suggested that if the County plans to turn Keller <br />Parkway back to the City, the City should have some <br />input into the road design. <br />The Administrator reported that the County plans to <br />retain Keller Parkway and Little Canada Road as County <br />roads. <br />There was no one else from the general public present <br />wishing to comment on this matter. <br />Upon motion by Scalze, seconded by Morelan, the public <br />hearing was closed. <br />John Schwabach pointed out the estimated cost of $4,600 <br />per lot for water main on Keller Parkway. Schwabach <br />asked where the rest of the money would come from to <br />pay for the project. <br />The Administrator replied that the City's share of the <br />project would be funded from water and Sewer Capital <br />Reserve Accounts which are dollars collected from <br />utility users. These same funds were used to pay the <br />City~s share of the cost of the Edgerton water main <br />project. <br />Schwabach stated that the Edgerton property owners did <br />not receive a discount on that water main project. <br />The City Administrator replied that the City <br />24 <br />
