MINiI`1'ES
CITY COUNCIL
FEBRUARY 8, 1995
COBBLESTONE The City Administrator pointed out the revised
VILLAGE development agreement for Cobblestone Village. This
DEVELOPMENT agreement is acceptable to Mr. Gordie Howe of
AGREEMENT Masterpiece Homes and has been signed by him. The City
Engineer will need to determine the appropriate amount
for the letter of credit, and that amount will be
included in the agreement.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 95-2-44 - APPROVING THE DEVELOPMENT
AGREEMENT FOR COBBLESTONE VILLAGE WITH LETTER OF CREDIT
AMOUNT TO BE DETERMINED BY THE CITY ENGINEER, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE
THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen, Morelan, Fahey.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
IIiJMAN RIGHTS The Council reviewed correspondence from the League of
COMMISSION Minnesota Human Rights Commission reqarding the City's
establishment of such a commission. It was pointed out
that the City Code provides for a nine-member Human
Rights Commission. However, one has never been
established.
Fahey suggested that there has not been a demonstrated
need within the City for such a Commission, and there
are agencies at the State level which address this type
of need. Therefore, Fahey recommended that the Code be
amended eliminating the Human Rights Commission. If
such need ever arises, the Council would have the
ability to re-establish such a commission.
LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 95-2-45 - DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO
PREPARE AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 206 OF THE CITY
CODE
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Fahey, Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze.
Nays (0). Resolution dec].ared adopted.
9
