MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MARCH 8, 1995 Fahey suggested that the property be earmarked as a future park and that McNamara be put on notice of that fact. The Director reported that Mr. McNamara is already aware of this. The Director pointed out that it could be another five years before the property is developed. Does the City want to wait that long before developing a park for the area. Fahey felt it would be an asset to the remaining R-1 property to have a park in that location. Sanders pointed out that the north end of the property is the least desirable from a residential development standpoint. Scalze suggested that the City ask McNamara to donate his l00 land dedication now, and that the City attach something to the remaining property indicating that the park charge has already been paid. The Director suggested that the City could get more involved in the development of the corner of Jackson Street and Little Canada Road. The City Administrator suggested that it might be more beneficial for McNamara to donate the land to the City at this time, then to wait until the property is developed. The Administrator suggested that he discuss the matter with Mr. McNamara. DENERY The Park Consultant suggested that the Denery PROPERTY development concept which includes a portion of adjacent park property works out to both the City's and the developer's benefit. The Consultant suggested that the City develop its two lots after the Denery development is completed. The Director suggested that it may be necessary to include the park land right away in order for the Denery's to provide a walkway access from the end of the cul-de-sac to adjacent park property and still be able to get seven lots.
