MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 10, 1995 <br />The foregoinq resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Fahey, Scalze, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />JACKSON/ The City Administrator reported that the City had <br />OLD COUNTY instructed the contractor not to begin work on the <br />ROAD C/ Jackson/Old County Road C/Lakeshore Road improvement <br />LAKESHORE until school is out. Aowever, the contractor would <br />ROAD like to get started, and believes it would be safer to <br />IMPROVEMENT get most of the work done before school is out, when <br /> children will be around during the day and attracted to <br /> the construction area. The Administrator reported that <br /> he has received some calls from the neighborhood asking <br /> that construction begin sooner rather than later. The <br /> Administrator reported that the 5chool District has <br /> been contacted about busing, and they believe they can <br /> keep school buses moving through the area, picking up <br /> children at their regular stops. City staff and the <br /> City Engineer feel the situation is workable, and <br /> recommend proceeding with the start of construction. <br />Morelan asked if there would be any cost savings to the <br />City in allowing the contractor to start early. <br />Morelan noted that the contractor has mobilized some <br />equipment in the area. <br />The Administrator did not anticipate any cost savings. <br />It was the consensus of the Council that the contractor <br />be allowed to start the reconstruction project early. <br />FILL PERMIT- The Council reviewed the application for fill permit <br />FIEBIGER submitted by Mark Fiebiger for his property located at <br />24 Twin Lake Blvd. Public Works has reviewed the <br />application, and is recommending approval subject to <br />compliance with the conditions outlined in the <br />Superintendent's letter dated May 5, 1995. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-5-128 - APPROVING TI-IE FILL PERMIT <br />APPLICATION REQUESTED BY MARK FIEBIGER FOR 24 TWIN LAKE <br />BLVD.
