Fahey suggested that based on the City Administrator's recommendation, a 3.5~ preliminary net levy increase be certified for the Truth In Taxation Hearing Notices. Between now and the hearings, the Council can try to attain a lower percentage increase. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 95-9-211 - CERTIFYING A 3.5% NET LEVY INCREASE FOR THE PROPOSED 1996 BUDGET The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (3) Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey. Nays (2) Scalze, LaValle. Resolution declared adopted. Scalze and LaValle indicated that they voted against the motion since they felt only a 3.0% net levy increase should be proposed for the 1996 Preliminary Budget. TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 95-9-212 - SCHEDULING THE 1996 TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING FOR THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 1995 AT 7:30 P.M., WITH A CONTINUATION SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7, 1995 AT 6:00 P.M., IF NECESSARY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Fahey, Pedersen, Morelan. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. BUDGET WORKSHOP TRI-MAGNET SCIi00L AGREEMENT It was the consensus of the Council that the next budget workshop will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 1995 at 6 P.M. at City Hall. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 95-9-213 - APPROVING TI-IE TRI-MAGNET SCHOOL WATER CONNECTION AGREEMENT AS SUBMITTED, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY 21
