MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 27, 1995 HF~RINGS RESOLUTION NO. 95-9-225 - CALLING FOR TI-IE FOLLOWING ASSESSMENT HEARINGS: -LAKESHORE/OLD C/JACKSON STREET RECONSTRUCTION FOR TUESDAY~ OCTOBER 24TH, 6:30 P.M.~ -LAKE STREET STREET RECONSTRUCTION FOR TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24TH, 7:30 P.M.j -KELLER PARKWAY WATER MAIN FOR TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24TH, 8:30 P.M.; -GILANDERI WATER MAIN AND STREET RECONSTRUCTION FOR WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 25TH, 6:00 P.M.; -VIKING DRIVE WATER MAIN AND STREET RECONSTRUCTION FOR WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 25TH, 6:30 P.M. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Pedersen, Morelan, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Morelan asked for a brief update on the improvement projects. The City Administrator reported that the bulk of the work has been done. There has been some difficulty in getting the contractor back in the Lakeshore/Old County C/Jackson Street area to finish restoration work, but it is anticipated that this restoration will be completed shortly. Striping will be completed once patching is finished. The Administrator reported that we have retained the County's landscape contractor to complete restoration along Keller Parkway. SCULLEY Fahey reviewed the Park & Recreation Director~s memo PROPERTY regarding Maplewood's interest in purchasing a portion of the Sculley property in order to develop a park in Little Canada. Fahey noted that the Director has recommended that the City wait until Maplewood makes a formal request. Fahey indicated that he would like to be more pro-active and inform Maplewood that the City has no interest in taking Little Canada property off the tax rolls for a park to serve Maplewood residents. Scalze noted that Little Canada does not need a park in this area until such time as the Sculley property develops. Morelan suggested that once the Sculley property is developed, the City would take another look at the issue. 14
