However, <br />this was a good start and the City can see what happens <br />with it. <br />The City Administrator pointed out that the contract <br />proposed is for three years with a three-year renewal <br />option. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-11-279 - APPROVING RENEWAL OF THE <br />REFUSE/RECYCLING CONTRACT AS PROPOSED BY CITY STAFF, <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO <br />EXECUTE TI-IE CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />SEPIIOR Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />CITIZEN moved its adoption: <br />DEFERMENT <br />OF RESOLUTION NO. 95-11-280 - APPROVING THE APPLICATION <br />ASSESSMENTS FOR SENIOR CITIZEN DEFERMENT OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR <br />MARIE M. WILDES, 2688 LAKESHORE AVENUE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Morelan, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PAY REQUEST The City Attorney reviewed the City Engineer's letter <br />~3 - VALLEY dated November 20, 1995 calculating that payment in <br />PAVING the amount of $201,978.74 was due Valley Paving, less <br />liquidated damages and plus interest on payment. The <br />Attorney recommended that the Council take action on <br />Valley Paving's pay request pursuant to Section 9.4 of <br />the General Conditions of the contract that the City <br />has with Valley Paving. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-11-281 - APPROVING PAYMENT TO VALLEY <br />PAVING IN THE AMOUNT OF $201,978.74 FOR PAY REQUEST #3 <br />AS CALCULATED BY THE CITY ENGINEER IN HIS REPORT DATED <br />19 <br />
