MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 20, 1995 <br />LaValle agreed. <br />Mayor Fahey asked if this has been the past practice of <br />the Council. The City Administrator reported that he <br />can reinember another instance when an application came <br />in after deadline, and the Council did not consider it <br />for that reason. <br />Fahey pointed out that there may be instances in the <br />future when there are not a sufficient number of <br />applications received for commission vacancies. Fahey <br />asked if the Council's position would then be to re- <br />advertise and extend the deadline. <br />Council indicated that that was their consensus. <br />Fahey pointed out that if the Hartmann application is <br />not considered because it was received after the <br />deadline, that action would set a precedent for the <br />future. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-12-306 - DISQUALIFYING THE LARRY <br />HARTMANN APPLICATION FOR VACANCY ON THE PARK & <br />RECREATION COMMISSION SINCE IT WAS RECEIVED AFTER THE <br />DECEMBER 7, 1995 DEADLINE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-12-307 - APPOINTING THE FOLLOWING TO <br />TI-IE PARK & RECREATION FOR THREE YEAR TERMS BEGINNING <br />JANUARY 1, 1996: <br />KAREN JOHNSON <br />HOWARD REMEROWSKI <br />TROY RAJANEN <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Fahey, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0).
