MINUTE5 <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 10~ 1996 <br />CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR <br />BONUS <br />Morelan expressed concern in not allowing bags, <br />pointing out that a street lined with garbage cans <br />which are not brought in from the curb is a problem <br />from an aesthetic standpoint. Morelan asked what other <br />cities do. <br />The City Administrator suggested that the ordinance was <br />a typical one, pointing out that the ordinances from a <br />couple of other cities were used in drafting this <br />amendment. <br />Morelan also expressed concern with Section 809.120, <br />Burying and Burning of Mixed Municipal Solid Waste. <br />Morelan felt that this section implied that anything <br />other than mixed municipal solid waste could be buried <br />or burned. <br />Fahey suggested that the section be qualified with a <br />statement that only those products can be burned as <br />allowed under the City's burning permit. <br />The City Administrator suggested that staff take <br />another look at the ordinance and bring it back to the <br />Council at a later date. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-1-15 - TABLING ACTION ON THE <br />REFUSE/RECYCLING ORDINANCE AT THIS TIME <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Fahey, Morelan, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-1-16 - TABLING ACTION ON A BONUS FOR <br />THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR PENDING FURTHER STUDY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />WORKSIiOP Council noted that the Parks & Recreation Commission <br />WITH PARKS has requested a workshop with the City Council for <br />& RECREATION Thursday, January 18th. Since the majority of the <br />COMMISSION Council could not attend that evening, it was the <br />consensus of the Council to schedule the workshop for <br />18 <br />
