MINUTE5 CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 10~ 1996 CITY ADMINISTRATOR BONUS Morelan expressed concern in not allowing bags, pointing out that a street lined with garbage cans which are not brought in from the curb is a problem from an aesthetic standpoint. Morelan asked what other cities do. The City Administrator suggested that the ordinance was a typical one, pointing out that the ordinances from a couple of other cities were used in drafting this amendment. Morelan also expressed concern with Section 809.120, Burying and Burning of Mixed Municipal Solid Waste. Morelan felt that this section implied that anything other than mixed municipal solid waste could be buried or burned. Fahey suggested that the section be qualified with a statement that only those products can be burned as allowed under the City's burning permit. The City Administrator suggested that staff take another look at the ordinance and bring it back to the Council at a later date. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 96-1-15 - TABLING ACTION ON THE REFUSE/RECYCLING ORDINANCE AT THIS TIME The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Fahey, Morelan, Pedersen. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 96-1-16 - TABLING ACTION ON A BONUS FOR THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR PENDING FURTHER STUDY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze, Morelan. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. WORKSIiOP Council noted that the Parks & Recreation Commission WITH PARKS has requested a workshop with the City Council for & RECREATION Thursday, January 18th. Since the majority of the COMMISSION Council could not attend that evening, it was the consensus of the Council to schedule the workshop for 18
