MINiJTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 10, 1996 DIANNA LANE RETAINING WALL MN RELEAF GRANT AGREEMENT Wednesday, January 24th, at 6:00 P.M. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 96-1-17 - APPROVING THE REQUEST FOR PAYMENT FOR THE DIANNA LANE RETAINING WALL PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $27,180.00 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Fahey, Pedersen, Morelan. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 96-1-18 - APPROVING THE MN RELEAF GRANT AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. APPOINTMENT Council reviewed the request of the Phalen Chain of TO NATURAI, Lakes Watershed Project for a City representative to RESOURCES the Natural Resources Board. It was the consensus of BOARD the Council to appoint Dennis Carson as the City's representative if he so desires. Council Member Scalze indicated that she would be willing to serve as Carson's alternate. Should Carson not be interested in the appointment, the Council felt that the Planning Commission as well as Parks & Recreation Commission members should be contacted to determine if there was any interest on their part. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 96-1-19 - APPOINTING DENNIS CARSON AS THE CITY~S REPRESENTATIVE TO THE NATURAL RESOURCES BOARD IF HE SO DE5IRE5, OTHERWISE STAFF IS INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION MEMBERS FOR INTEREST The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (4) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. Nays (1) LaValle. Resolution declared adopted. 19
