MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 24, 1996 <br />Matson reported that they are currently contributing <br />72% of their net profits within the trade area. Matson <br />also reported that the State Statute says that a local <br />jurisdiction cannot be more restrictive in terms of <br />trade area. Matson reported that NSYA would like the <br />opportunity to run as many occasions in one day, rather <br />than beinq limited to an arbitrary two occasions. <br />Fahey again asked if there was anyone from the <br />prevailing side of the Council interested in making a <br />motion to reconsider the Council's previous action. <br />Hearing none, the matter was closed. <br />Matson pointed out that Little Canada Charity Plus has <br />submitted a new rotation schedule providing NSYA with <br />two occasions per week. Matson stated that this is the <br />schedule that they will have to follow. <br />ROTATION Council reviewed the rotation schedule submitted by <br />SCHEDULE Little Canada Charity Plus, Inc. which is proposed to <br />become effective April 1, 1996. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-1-26 - ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE <br />ROTATION SCHEDULE AS SUBMITTED BY LITTLE CANADA CHARITY <br />PLUS, INC. TO BE EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 1996 WHICH SHOWS <br />NORTH SUBURBAN YOUTH ASSOCIATION TO HAVE ENTIRELY <br />EVENING OCCASIONS AS WELL AS TWO OCCASIONS PER WEEK <br />The foregoing resolution <br />Ayes (3) Scalze, LaValle, <br />Nays (0). <br />Abstentions (2) Morelan, <br />adopted. <br />was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Pedersen. <br />Fahey. Resolution declared <br />MARKET PLACE Bob Grootwassink and Mark Hotzler, owners of the <br />SHOPPING Market Place Shopping Center, appeared before the <br />CENTER Council and presented their plans for renovation of <br />RENOVATION the exterior of the Market Place Shopping Center. <br />Scalze asked why there are no awnings over the windows <br />for the SuperValu and Snyders stores. <br />Grootwassink was not sure, pointing out that this is <br />the architect's design.
