MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 149 2025 <br />Malone asked if the banners would be installed by August 31 ". The Acting City Administrator replied <br />that is the deadline to spend the funds but confirmed that they hope to have the banners installed by <br />that date as well. <br />Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2025-5-78 —APPROVE THE FIRSTAMENDMENT TO THE GRANT <br />A GREEMENT BETWEEN RAMSEY CO UNTY HO USING AND REDEVELOPMENT <br />A UTHORITY AND THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA TO EXTEND THE TIMEFRAME , <br />FOR THE CITY'S 2024 CRITICAL CORRIDORS COMMERCIAL CORRIDOR <br />INITIATIVE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Kwapick. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ADOPT 2025-2030 STRATEGIC PLAN <br />The Acting City Administrator provided background information on the Strategic Plan and the 2025 <br />planning process. She provided an overview of the Strategic Plan including the vision for 2030, 2025 <br />strategic directions, and the Strategic Plan reporting tool. She stated that once adopted, the plan, <br />reporting documents, action items, and indicators would be added to the city website with updates <br />made every six weeks. She anticipated a biannual update to the Council. <br />Malone thanked staff for putting the information together in this easy -to -read format. Miller noted the <br />over 90 percent completion of the previous Strategic Plan, recognizing the hard work of staff to <br />accomplish those items. <br />Kwapick stated that it is hard to believe how the ideas and thoughts from the two-day retreat are boiled <br />down into this document, recognizing both the short and long term goals and action items within the <br />plan. <br />Malone stated that this is great timing with the pending hire of a new City Administrator, as they will <br />have a clear understanding of the goals moving forward. <br />Gutierrez acknowledged that it was a great process, and she is pleased with the results. <br />Mayor Fischer understood the work behind creating the pillars for the plan and the more detailed items <br />contained under each pillar. He stated that the consultant was impressed with how the city is doing the <br />work outlined within the Strategic Plan. He thanked everyone involved for their great work. <br />Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-5-79 —APPROVING THE 2025-2 03 0 STRATEGIC PLAN <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Gutierrez. <br />Ayes (5).
