In this way the <br />City could continue its support of these organizations. <br />The Council would also like staff to investigate <br />various funding options for both the Historical Society <br />addition and the old fire hall renovation. <br />Pedersen asked what the feasibility study would cost <br />and how the City would fund it. <br />The City Administrator suggested that the cost may be <br />$5,000 or less and that the cost could come from the <br />project budget for the old fire station in our Capital <br />Improvement Funds. <br />Morelan felt this option addressed all the concerns on <br />the table. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-2-37 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO OBTAIN A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR <br />CONSTRUCTION OF A 2,000 SQUARE FOOT ADDITION ONTO CITY <br />HALL FOR PURPOSES OF RELOCATING THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY, <br />AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO PURSUE <br />FUNDING OPTIONS, INCLUDING FEDERAL AND STATE GRANTS, TC <br />ASSIST IN THE COST OF THE PROJECT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that the next step with <br />the old fire station project would be to authorize <br />preparation of schematic design and preparation of cost <br />estimates. This information would be reviewed by the <br />City Council before the project goes out for bid. <br />LaValle suqgested that LCRA be informed in writing that <br />they would be responsible for any necessary upgrades of <br />the kitchen facility at the old fire hall. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-2-38 - AUTHORIZING PAUL FINSNESS <br />ARCHITECTS TO PREPARE SCHEMATIC DRAWINGS AS WELL AS <br />10 <br />
