MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 28, 1996 <br />in violation of laws requiring bikes to go with the <br />flow of traffic. <br />Scalze pointed out that a five-foot shoulder is not <br />wide enough for two-way traffic. <br />Fahey again pointed out the majority of property owners <br />on the lake supported the no parking ban. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-2-47 - INSTRUCTING CITY STAFF TO <br />CONTACT F2AMSEY COUNTY AND REQUEST THAT KELLER PARKWAY <br />FROM EDGERTON STREET TO ARCADE STREET BE POSTED NO <br />PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF THE STREET, AND FURTHER <br />DECLARING THAT THE CITY WILL ISSUE PARKING PERMITS TO <br />PROPERTY OWNERS ON KELLER PARKWAY FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS <br />AS ALLOWED BY CITY ORDINANCE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (3) Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (2) Morelan, LaValle. Resolution declared <br />adopted. <br />RENEWAL OF Council reviewed the request for renewal of <br />PREMISES organizational license for Little Canada Charity Plus, <br />PERMIT - Inc. as well as Premises Permits for the Market Place <br />LITTLE Bingo Hall and Brady's on Rice Street. Staff reported <br />CANADA that Sheriff's Department background checks are <br />CHARITY satisfactory. <br />PLUS <br /> Fahey and Morelan indicated they would abstain from <br /> discussion and voting on this issue since their spouses <br /> are employed by Little Canada Charity Plus. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-2-48 - APPROVING RENEWAL OF <br />ORGANIZATIONAL LICENSE AS WELL AS PREMISES PERMITS AT <br />THE MARKET PLACE BINGO HALL AND BRADY'S ON RICE STREET <br />AS REQUESTED BY LITTLE CANADA CHARITY PLUS, INC. FOR <br />THE LICENSE PERIOD MAY l, 1996 THROUGH APRIL 30, 1998 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (3) LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze. <br />10 <br />
