MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 28, 1996 <br />CALL FOR <br />PUBLIC <br />HEARING- <br />VACATION OF <br />DRAINAGE & <br />UTILITY <br />EASEMENT <br />Nays (0). <br />Abstentions (2) Fahey, Morelan. Resolution declared <br />adopted. <br />The Administrative Assistant reported that the <br />developers/property owners of Heritage Office Park <br />have petitioned for the vacation of an existing <br />drainage and utility easement on their property. This <br />easement would then be replaced by other drainage and <br />utility easements at the time the plat is recorded. <br />Council indicated that the Public Works Director.and <br />City Engineer should review the vacation request and <br />present a recommendation. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 96-2-49 - CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING <br />AT 7:30 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27, 1996 TO CONSIDER <br />THE VACATION OF A DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT ON THE <br />HERITAGE OFFICE PARK PROPERTY AS PETITIONED BY THE <br />PROPERTY OWNERS/DEVELOPER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Morelan, Fahey, Pedersen, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COMPREHENSIVE The City Planner reviewed his memo dated February 23, <br />PLAN UPDATE 1996 regarding the City's Comprehensive Plan update and <br />the follow-up activities necessary for completion of <br />the update. . The Planner pointed out most of these <br />follow-up activities are zoning-related. The Planner <br />suggested there may be some reason to wait until the <br />Metropolitan Council has reviewed the Plan before <br />proceeding with any rezoning actions. <br />Fahey noted that if the Plan is submitted to and <br />approved by the Met Council, the actions outlined in <br />the Planner's memo are what the Council would take. <br />Fahey suggested perhaps the Council should review and <br />discuss the Planner's recommendations prior to <br />submission of the Plan to Met Council.
