MINUTES CITY COUNCIL FEBRUARY 28, 1996 CALL FOR PUBLIC HEARING- VACATION OF DRAINAGE & UTILITY EASEMENT Nays (0). Abstentions (2) Fahey, Morelan. Resolution declared adopted. The Administrative Assistant reported that the developers/property owners of Heritage Office Park have petitioned for the vacation of an existing drainage and utility easement on their property. This easement would then be replaced by other drainage and utility easements at the time the plat is recorded. Council indicated that the Public Works Director.and City Engineer should review the vacation request and present a recommendation. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 96-2-49 - CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING AT 7:30 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27, 1996 TO CONSIDER THE VACATION OF A DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT ON THE HERITAGE OFFICE PARK PROPERTY AS PETITIONED BY THE PROPERTY OWNERS/DEVELOPER The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. Ayes (5) Scalze, Morelan, Fahey, Pedersen, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. COMPREHENSIVE The City Planner reviewed his memo dated February 23, PLAN UPDATE 1996 regarding the City's Comprehensive Plan update and the follow-up activities necessary for completion of the update. . The Planner pointed out most of these follow-up activities are zoning-related. The Planner suggested there may be some reason to wait until the Metropolitan Council has reviewed the Plan before proceeding with any rezoning actions. Fahey noted that if the Plan is submitted to and approved by the Met Council, the actions outlined in the Planner's memo are what the Council would take. Fahey suggested perhaps the Council should review and discuss the Planner's recommendations prior to submission of the Plan to Met Council. Scalze agreed, stating she had some questions.
