MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 10, 1996 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-7-163 - ORDERING PREPARATION OF A <br />FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF BLUWOOD <br />AVENUE FROM THE WEST LINE OF LAKESHORE AVENUE TO ITS <br />POINT OF TERMINATION APPROXIMATELY 677 FEET WESTERLY BY <br />ROAD RECONSTRUCTION, CURB AND GUTTER, AND STORM <br />DRAINAGE <br />The foregoing resolution <br />Ayes (3) Scalze, LaValle, <br />Nays (0). <br />Abstentions (1) Morelan. <br />was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Fahey. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />The improvement of East Brooks Avenue from the west <br />line of Morrison Avenue to the east line of Savage Lane <br />by roadway reconstruction including curb and qutter and <br />storm drainage was reviewed. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-7-164 - ORDERING PREPARATION OF A <br />FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF EAST BROOKS <br />AVENUE FROM THE WEST LINE OF MORRISON AVENUE TO THE <br />EA5T LINE OF SAVAGE LANE BY ROADWAY RECONSTRUCTION <br />INCLUDING CURB AND GUTTER AND STORM DRAINAGE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ENERGY The City Administrator reported that he has reviewed <br />EFFICIENT the quotes for energy efficient window treatments, and <br />WINDOW discussed the two methods quoted with Doug Jost of <br />TREATMENT Energy & Environmental Resource Center. The <br />Administrator reported that the 3M Scotch Tint Film <br />will not have an adverse effect on the windows. There <br />is a pay-back in energy savings expected from the film <br />application and it would make cleaning the windows <br />easier. Therefore, the City Administrator recommended <br />the quote from Columbia Window Tinting in the amount of <br />$620.00 be awarded. Funding for this improvement would <br />come from the Capital Improvement Project Fund. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-7-165 - AWARDING THE QUOTE OF <br />COLUMBIA WINDOW TINTING IN THE AMOUNT OF $620 FOR <br />INSTALLATION OF 3M SCOTCH TINT FILM ON THE ENTRY <br />WINDOWS AT CITY HALL <br />6 <br />
