MINU'PES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 10, 1996 <br />ACCEPT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Scalze, Fahey, Morelan. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mayor Fahey accepted with regrets the resignation of <br />Colleen Doolittle from the Parks & Recreation <br />Commission. Doolittle is moving out of the City. On <br />behalf of the Council, Fahey thanked Doolittle for her <br />service to the City. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-7-166 - AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO <br />ADVERTISE THE VACANCY ON THE PARKS & RECREATION <br />COMMISSION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Fahey, LaValle, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CAO Fahey announced that the Ramsey County SherifE's <br />GRADUATION Department wi11 be graduating its first class of <br />Community Affairs Officers on Tuesday, July 16, 1996. <br />The graduation ceremony will be held at Incarnation <br />Lutheran Church at 4880 Hodgson Road in North Oaks. <br />The public is invited to attend. <br />Morelan felt this is a great program and stated it <br />would be nice to get some Little Canada residents <br />involved. <br />RECESS At this point in the meeting, 6:47 P.M., Council took a <br />short recess. The meeting was reconvened at 7:05 P.M. <br />CITY CENTER Fahey reported that he and members of the City Council <br />IDENTIFICATION just returned from outside the buildinq where they were <br />SIGN looking at three potential locations for a City Center <br />identification sign. <br />Morelan indicated that there is merit to all three <br />locations. Morelan felt the sign fit more into the <br />category of monument sign than identification sign. As <br />a result, Option 1 appears to be the best location, and <br />the sign should be single-sided. <br />Fahey pointed out that under Option 1, the sign would <br />7 <br />
