MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JTJLY 24, 1996 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-7-175 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />TO DRAFT AN ORDINANCE WHICH WOULD IMPOSE TI-IE TOBACCO <br />REGULATIONS AS OUTLINED IN THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S <br />LETTER DATED JULY 15, 1996 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (3) Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze. <br />Nays (2) Fahey, LaValle. Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONSENT Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />AGENDA moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-7-176 - APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />WHICI-I CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: <br />*APPROVAL OF TEMPORARY LIQUOR LICENSE AS WELL AS <br />EXEMPTION FROM LAWFUL GAMBLING LICENSE FOR ST. JOHN'S <br />CHURCH FALL FESTIVAL TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 29, 1996 <br />SUBJECT TO RECEIPT OF A CERTIFICATE OF LIQUOR <br />LIABILITY INSURANCE; <br />*APPROVAL OF EXEMPTION FROM LAWFUL GAMBLING LICENSE FOR <br />THE NORTH SUBURBAN EVENING LIONS FOR RAFFLE TO BE HELD <br />ON OC't'OBER 20, 1996 AT THE VENETIAN INN~ <br />*APPROVAL OF TEMPORARY LIQUOR LICENSE FOR THE LITTLE <br />CANADA RECREATION ASSOCIATION FOR CANADIAN DAYS <br />TOURNAMENT SUBJECT TO RECEIPT OF A CERTIFICATE OF <br />LIQUOF2 LIABILITY INSURANCE; <br />*APPROVAL OF VALLEY PAVING PAY REQUEST~ <br />*APPROVAL OF AA CONTRACTING PAY REQUEST; <br />*APPROVAL OF 1995 AUDIT REPORTS AND ADOPTION OF THE <br />AUDITOR~S RECOMMENDATIONS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze, Morelan, Fahey. <br />Nays (0).
