MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 28, 1996 <br />Morelan suggested letters be sent to all property <br />owners abutting the affected streets informing them the <br />Council will discuss on-street parking on their street <br />at the September llth Council meeting. <br />BUDGET Mr. Fahey introduced the followinq resolution and moved <br />WORKSHOP its adoption: <br />MEETING <br />RESOLUTION N0. 96-8-205 - CALLING FOR A 1997 BUDGET <br />WORKSHOP MEETING FOR MONDAY~ SEPTEMBER 9, 1996 AT 6:30 <br />P.M. AT THE CITY CENTER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen, Morelan, LaValle. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />It was noted the City will cable-cast all budqet <br />meetings. <br />TRANSFER The City Administrator reported that the City has <br />OF FUNDS acquired 34 Little Canada Road throuqh tax forfeiture <br />FOR COST proceedings. This property has been designated as <br />OF open space. Costs of acquisition have been posted to <br />ACQUIRING the interim construction fund, and these costs need to <br />34 LITTLE be transferred to a permanent fund. <br />CANADA ROAD <br />Scalze suggested the costs be transferred to the <br />General Capital Improvement Fund. <br />LaValle suggested they were more appropriately <br />transferred to the Park Acquisition Fund. Morelan <br />agreed given the long-term use of the property is open <br />space. <br />Scalze suggested the issue be referred to the Parks & <br />Recreation Commission for a recommendation. <br />Fahey suggested the Parks & Recreation Commission would <br />make recommendations on the use of a property, rather <br />than allocation of costs to City funds. Fahey <br />suggested if the long-term use of the property is open <br />space, fundinq would be more appropriate from the Park <br />Acquisition Fund than the Capital Improvement Fund. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-8-206 - APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF <br />FUNDS TO COVER COSTS OF THE ACQUISITION OF 34 LITTLE <br />17 <br />
