MINi1TES CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 28, 1996 RESOLUTION NO. 96-8-208 - AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF THE PARK MASTER PLAN TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL AS PART OF THE CITY~S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. Ayes (5) Scalze, Morelan, Fahey, Pedersen, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. VADNAIS The City Administrator reported a developer is looking HEIGHTS/ to construct townhomes in Vadnais Heights at the LITTLE intersection of LaBore Road and County Road D. City CANADA sewer is available from Little Canada. However, a WATER review of the City's connection fee would make CONNECTION that connection cost-prohibitive. The Administrator AGREEMENTS pointed out that Little Canada may need City water from Vadnais Heights in the Twin Lake Road area. Vadnais Ileiqhts' connection fee would be less than Little Canada's. Therefore, the Administrator suggested a joint connection agreement between the two cities where the charges imposed would be based on the Vadnais Heights formula. Scalze asked the future ramifications of this reciprocal agreement. Pedersen pointed out that Little Canada would benefit from a connection to the Vadnais system in the Twin Lake Road area. Pedersen stated that there are not many locations where this matter will come up again. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 96-8-209 - AUTHORIZING A RECIPROCAL UTILITY CONNECTION AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF VADNAIS HEIGHTS, WITH CONNECTION FEES TO BE BASED ON THE VADNAIS HEIGHTS FORMULA The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (5) Morelan, Pedersen, LaValle, Fahey, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PAYMENT Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and REQUEST - moved its adoption: OLD FIRE STATION RESOLUTION NO. 96-8-210 - APPROVING THE PAYMENT REQUEST PROJECT SUBMITTED BY A.A. CONTRACTING IN THE AMOUNT OF $36,546.50 FOR TI-IE OLD FIRE STATION PROJECT 19
