Also, the Market Plaoe has 60 days to put a lease agreement together with Budget Power. Hotzler indicated he is fairly optimistic this can be done. Hotzler reported that the proposal is to close on the property by the end of the year, with Budget Power being responsible for payment of property taxes through the end of the year. The City Administrator recommended the Council accept assignment of the purchase agreement, and the Council authorize the environmental study and title review of the property. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 96-10-267 - ACCEPTING ASSIGNMENT OF THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE BUDGET POWER PROPERTY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (4) LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Fahey thanked the Market Place Limited Liability Company for their assistance in this matter, pointing out that this is the first step in assembling sites for redevelopment in the Rice Street/Little Canada Road area. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 96-10-268 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO ORDER ENVIRONMENTAL TESTING OF TAE BUDGET POWER PROPERTY AS WELL AS COMMENCING ON THE NECESSARY TITLE WORK IN PREPARATION FOR CLOSING ON TAE PROPERTY PURCHASE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (4) Scalze, LaValle, Pedersen, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The City Administrator reported he has surveyed the property owners along the Country Drive redevelopment area to determine if they had any interest in selling their property so the City can assemble parcels for redevelopment. The Administrator reported that interest has been expressed from three property owners 10
