MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 23, 1996 <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-10-270 - APPROVING THE AMENDMENT TO <br />THE SOLID WASTE CONTRACT AS RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF, <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO <br />EXECUTE THIS CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (3) Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />SPOONER The Council reviewed the bids received for construction <br />PARK of a new picnic shelter in Spooner Park. It was noted <br />PICNIC that all bids exceed project cost estimates, and City <br />SHELTER staff has recommended the bids be rejected. The <br />Administrator pointed out that staff will review the <br />City's options, which include rebidding the project in <br />the spring or constructing the shelter through a <br />modified construction management approach. Staff will <br />make a recommendation on how to proceed with the <br />project at a later date. <br />Mr. Pedersen introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-10-271 - REJECTING THE BIDS RECEIVED <br />FOR THE SPOONER PARK PICNIC SHELTER BASED ON THE <br />RECOMMENDATION OF CITY STAFF AS WELL AS THE PROJECT <br />ARCHITECT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (3) Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PIONEER The City Administrator recommended that the <br />PARK existing Spooner Park picnic shelter not be moved <br />PICNIC to Pioneer Park until such time as a decision is <br />SHELTER made on how to proceed to construct the Spooner Park <br />picnic shelter. Council agreed. <br />CITY Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />ADMINISTRATOR moved its adoption: <br />PERFORMANCE <br />EVALUATION RESOLUTION NO. 96-10-272 - CALLING A WORKSHOP MEETING <br />FOR WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 1996, AT 6:30 P.M. TO <br />CONDUCT THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S ANNUAL PERFORMANCE <br />EVALUATION <br />12 <br />
