MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 22~ 1997 The Administrator suggested that based on the discussion this evening, as well as the input of the City Attorney and City Planner, he would put the ordinance into final form and present it to the Planning Commission for a recommendation. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 97-1-21 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO PUT THE PROPOSED TOWER ORDINANCE IN FINAL FORM, SUBMIT TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR A RECOMMENDATION, AND ONCE A RECOMMENDATION IS RECEIVED, CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF THE ORDINANCE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PROVINCES- The City Administrator reported that City staff has FIRE met with Dominium, owners of the Provinces Apartments, PROTECTION and agreed upon a fire protection upgrade program at UPGRADE the complex. The Administrator reviewed t hat program as outlined in his memo dated January 17, 1997. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 97-1-22 - APPROVING THE FIRE PROTECTION UPGRADE PROGRAM FOR THE PROVINCES APARTMENTS AS OUTLINED IN THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR~S LETTER DATED JANUARY 17, 1997 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Morelan, Fahey, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. 1997 The City Engineer reviewed the improvements proposed IMPROVEMENT by the Watershed to Ditch 7A. It was recommended that PROJECTS these improvements be incorporated into the City's improvement project proposed for Arcade Street. The cost of the ditch improvements will be borne by the Watershed with the understanding that once the improvements are completed, the City would be responsible for ongoing maintenance of the ditch in the future.
