MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 22~ 1997 <br />The Administrator suggested that based on the <br />discussion this evening, as well as the input of the <br />City Attorney and City Planner, he would put the <br />ordinance into final form and present it to the <br />Planning Commission for a recommendation. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-1-21 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO PUT THE PROPOSED TOWER ORDINANCE IN <br />FINAL FORM, SUBMIT TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR A <br />RECOMMENDATION, AND ONCE A RECOMMENDATION IS RECEIVED, <br />CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO <br />CONSIDER ADOPTION OF THE ORDINANCE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PROVINCES- The City Administrator reported that City staff has <br />FIRE met with Dominium, owners of the Provinces Apartments, <br />PROTECTION and agreed upon a fire protection upgrade program at <br />UPGRADE the complex. The Administrator reviewed t hat program <br /> as outlined in his memo dated January 17, 1997. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-1-22 - APPROVING THE FIRE PROTECTION <br />UPGRADE PROGRAM FOR THE PROVINCES APARTMENTS AS <br />OUTLINED IN THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR~S LETTER DATED <br />JANUARY 17, 1997 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Morelan, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />1997 The City Engineer reviewed the improvements proposed <br />IMPROVEMENT by the Watershed to Ditch 7A. It was recommended that <br />PROJECTS these improvements be incorporated into the City's <br />improvement project proposed for Arcade Street. The <br />cost of the ditch improvements will be borne by the <br />Watershed with the understanding that once the <br />improvements are completed, the City would be <br />responsible for ongoing maintenance of the ditch in the <br />future. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />12 <br />
