MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 23, 1997 <br />Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE.SOI. Resolution declared adopted. <br />PUBLIC Mayor Fahey opened the public hearing to consider an application for the <br />HEARING - transfer of Pawn Brokers License and Second Hand Goods Dealers <br />TRANSr~R OF License for Lincoln Pawn & JeweL y fi~om Cha~9es Wedemeyer to Randal <br />PAWN BROKERS and Mary Smothers. <br />LICENSE <br />The Administrative Assistant reported that the City is waiting for copies of <br />the Partnership Agreement, Precious Gems License, and Federal Firearms <br />License. <br />Wedemeyer reported that it may be a couple of months before the Federal <br />Firearms License is issued. Wedemeyer asked if it would be permissible <br />for him to continue as an employee of Lincoln Pawn 1nd allow the <br />Smothers' to use his Federal Firearms License. The other documents <br />which are pending should be available shortly. <br />Fahey indicated that he did not have a problem with the solution offered <br />by Mr. Wedemeyer, as long as that was acceptable to City staff. Fahey <br />commented that Lincoln Pawn & Jewelry has been a well-run operation, <br />and indicated that the City looked forward to more of the same. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />
