Morelan also commended the Administrator for several projects he accomplished during this past evaluation period. Scalze ranked the Administrator at "E" in Long Range Planning as did LaValle. Pedersen and Fahey provided "M+" rankings with Fahey askin~ if the City has a five-year overall strategic business plan. Fahey stated that he would like to see goals set for each director. In the area of Relationship with Public/Public Relations Scalze ranked the Administrator at "E to E+" indicatin~ that she receives excellent feedback from the public. Fahey provided an "E" ranking commenting that good public, professional services is an expectation set and exemplified by the Administrator. Fahey stressed the importance of training/coaching on the importance of public relationships and interpersonal skills for front line employees who have significant public contact. Morelan provided an "E" rating indicating that the Administrator's relationship with the public is exemplary and that he has been successful in instillin~ this trait in his staff Morelan suggested more proactive contact with the public throu~h the media, perhaps a monthly article in the newspaper and/or feature on CTV highlighting significant City news. LaValle ranked the Administrator at "E+" commenting that he excels in this area and has attained the respect of the city's known critics. Intergovernmental Relations were ranked at "E" by Scalze commending the Administrator for the job he has done with the City's legislators. LaValle provided an "E-" ranking suggesting that the Administrator should be more active with area governments, noting, however, that time may be a factor. Morelan provided an "E+" rating commenting on the relationships the Administrator has established with representatives of all levels of government. Morelan suggested that time permitting a more proactive approach to providing examples of good ideas from other jurisdictions may be beneficial. Morelan also commended the Administrator for the si~nificant progress made with the League and State Representatives on various issues, as well as several successful grant applications. Fahey ranked the Administrator at "E-" commentin~ on the lobbyin~ and interaction with other governmental entities on key city initiatives. Pedersen provided an "E" rankin~.
