MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 2G, 1997 <br />LaValle pointed out that the Sheriff's Department supports the third stop <br />sign. <br />Morelan pointed out the information the City Administrator provided to <br />the Council in the information update re~ardin~ stop sign placement. This <br />information indicated that stop signs do not slow down traffic nor do they <br />deter traffic patterns. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI,UTIONNO. 97-II-287-APPROVING TFIE INST.9I,LATION <br />OF A THREE-WAY STOP AT THE INTERSECTION OF ALLEN <br />AVENUE AND DE.SOTO .STREET <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Fahey, Pedersen, LaValle. <br />Nays (1) Morelan. Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONSENT The City Administrator recommended that action on the Metropolitan <br />AGENDA Council Loca1 Planning Assistance Program Grant Agreement be removed <br />from the consent agenda. This item will be placed on the December 17°i <br />Council meeting agenda for discussion once the City Planner has had an <br />opportunity to clarify the work program which is required as a part of the <br />grant program. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the followin~ resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI.UTION NO. 97-11-288 - REMOVING CONSIDER,9TION OF <br />THE METROPOI.ITAN COUNCIL LOCAI.
