MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 17, 1997 <br />RE.SOLUTIONNO. 97-12-311-AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND <br />CITYADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT WITH <br />DOMIMUMAND THE CITY UPON REVIEWAND APPROVAL OF <br />CITYSTAFF WITH CITYSTAFFAUTHORIZED TO REVISE THE <br />ACREEMENT TO PRO ['IDE FOR SPffiNKLEffiNG OF THE <br />PROPERTY IN EXCHANGE FOR DOMINI UM CI.AIMING THE <br />4(D) CI,ASS RATE AND FURTHER A UTHORIZING CITY STAFP <br />TO ISSDE THE DOMINIUM 42M LETTER ONCE THIS <br />ACREEMENT IS EXECUTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Fahey, Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ECONOMIC Scalze recommended that the Council call for workshops prior to its <br />DEVELOPMENT regular meetings in January for the purpose of discussing economic <br />WORKSHOPS development issues in the Rice StreedLittle Canada Road area. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI. UTION NO. 97-I2-312 - CALI.ING FOR ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS FOR WEI)NESDAY, .IANUARY 14, <br />1998 AND WEDNESDAY, JANDARY 28, 1998 AT 6:30 P.M. PRIOR <br />TO THE RECULAR COUNCII. MEETINCS <br />The fore~oing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Fahey, Morelan, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution deciared adopted. <br />Fahey suggested that at these workshops some additional information be <br />presented about Common Bond's request for assistance for an assisted <br />living senior project. Fahey noted, however, that the CounciP s top <br />priority at this point is the Rice Street/Little Canada Road redevelopment <br />project. The Administrator suggested that it would take minimal effort to <br />determine what Common Bond is proposin~. He will obtain this <br />information and report to the Council at one of the upcoming workshops. <br />APPOINTMENTS Fahey noted that the incumbents on both the Parks & Recreation <br />TO THE PARKS Commission and the Planning Commission are seeking reappointments <br />& RECI2EATION to three year terms on their respective commissions. This includes <br />COMMISSION Roger Christiansen who has reconsidered his earlier position and is <br />AND THE requesting reappointment. <br />PLANNING <br />COMMISSION Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />9 <br />
