MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 14, 1998 has a de~ree in construction management and may be more attuned to the policies and procedures that Little Canada wants. He is also a resident of Little Canada. Bourdon indicated that Bonestroo would like to submit a written proposal as soon as possible. Fahey pointed out that the recommendation ofthe City Administrator is to given Bonestroo 30-days notice of contract termination. Proposals would then be solicited from engineering firms. Fahey asked about the process for reviewing proposals. The City Administrator su~gested that a Request for Proposals as well as a detailed scope of services be prepared similar to what was used in 1990. The Administrator reported that in 199Q City staff reviewed the proposals which were received and selected the top four or five for interviews. Interviews were conducted by the City Council. Scalze felt the process worked well in 1990 and suggested the same process be used. Fahey sug~ested that if the City Administrator's recommendation is adopted, it would be pointless for Bonestroo to reapply. Fahey summarized some of the concerns that the City has had with Bonestroo. Fahey sug~ested that the Council act on the Administrator's recommendation at this time unless members of the Council felt differently. Morelan indicated that he would be willing to entertain a proposal from Bonestroo, but pointed out that ~;iven the concerns, Bonestroo would not be starting at the same point that other en~ineering firms might. Given those comments, Fahey indicated that Bonestroo was welcome to submit a proposal in response to the City's RFP.
