MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 25, 1998 <br />Canada. Many of these groups have donated funds to the Fire Department <br />for equipment and projects they have worked on. Boss reported that since <br />the Fire Department feels very strongly about preserving this history of <br />Little Canada, it has decided to forego one of its projects and donate <br />$15,000 to the Historical Society Addition project. Chief Boss presented <br />Leona Morelan, Co-Chair of the Historical Society Fund-Raising <br />Committea with a check in that amount. <br />Mayor Fahey asked Mrs. Morelan if she held an officer position with the <br />Historical Society. Mrs. Morelan replied that she did not, but that she was <br />Co-Chair of its Fund-Raising Committee. <br />Mayor Fahey thanked the Little Canada Fire Department on behalf of the <br />City for its generous donation to the Historical Society Addition project. <br />Fahey further announced that Lake Owasso Residence Volunteer Council <br />recently made a$10,000 donation to the project toward the cost of <br />handicapped accessible bathrooms. Fahey noted that there have been <br />many generous private donations to the project as well, including a <br />$10,000 donation from Gene DeLonais. Fahey extended the City's thanks <br />and appreciation to all the donors. <br />7ean Donovan, President of the Little Canada Historical Society, extended <br />her thanks to the Little Canada Fire Department, Lake Owasso Residence <br />Council, and al] the other donors. Donovan pointed out that Little Canada <br />Charity Plus recently donated money for display and book cases as well as <br />having made many other past donations. Donovan informed the Fire <br />Department that the Historical Society would be interested in obtaining <br />copies of the historical documents they have for department. <br />RENEWAL OT Council reviewed the renewal packet submitted by Little Canada Charity <br />GAMBLING Plus for their organizational gambling license and premises permits. City <br />LICENSE - staff has reported that all submissions are complete and in order. <br />LITTLE <br />CANADA Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CHARITY <br />PLUS, INC.
