MINUTES CITY COUNCIL FEBRUARY 25, 1998 Canada. Many of these groups have donated funds to the Fire Department for equipment and projects they have worked on. Boss reported that since the Fire Department feels very strongly about preserving this history of Little Canada, it has decided to forego one of its projects and donate $15,000 to the Historical Society Addition project. Chief Boss presented Leona Morelan, Co-Chair of the Historical Society Fund-Raising Committea with a check in that amount. Mayor Fahey asked Mrs. Morelan if she held an officer position with the Historical Society. Mrs. Morelan replied that she did not, but that she was Co-Chair of its Fund-Raising Committee. Mayor Fahey thanked the Little Canada Fire Department on behalf of the City for its generous donation to the Historical Society Addition project. Fahey further announced that Lake Owasso Residence Volunteer Council recently made a$10,000 donation to the project toward the cost of handicapped accessible bathrooms. Fahey noted that there have been many generous private donations to the project as well, including a $10,000 donation from Gene DeLonais. Fahey extended the City's thanks and appreciation to all the donors. 7ean Donovan, President of the Little Canada Historical Society, extended her thanks to the Little Canada Fire Department, Lake Owasso Residence Council, and al] the other donors. Donovan pointed out that Little Canada Charity Plus recently donated money for display and book cases as well as having made many other past donations. Donovan informed the Fire Department that the Historical Society would be interested in obtaining copies of the historical documents they have for department. RENEWAL OT Council reviewed the renewal packet submitted by Little Canada Charity GAMBLING Plus for their organizational gambling license and premises permits.
