VIKING DRIVE 13ASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF 7HE PI.ANNINC COMMISSIONAS WELL AS THE FINDINGS AS OUTI.INED IN THE CITY PLANNER'S REPORT DATED MARCH 9, 1998 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (4) Morelan, Scalze, Fahey, Pedersen. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The City Administrator indicated that City staff is recommending that the fee associated with the variance application be waived. The Administrator noted that Mr. Farley took the appropriate steps in making application for a building permit for the addition to his home, and the fact that a variance was required was missed by City staff. The Administrator also pointed out that it is because of the fact that the City took road easement for Gilanderi Lane that the Farley house became non-conforming and a variance was required. This condition was not created by the property owner. Mrs. Scalze introduced the f'ollowing resolution and moved its adoption: RESOI. Ayes (4) Scalze, Morelan, Fahey, Pedersen. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PUBLIC Mayor Fahey opened the public hearing to consider a Conditional Use FIEARING- Permit allowing the use of the City parking lot at the corner ofLittle CUP FOR Canada Road and McMenemy Road as off-premise parking for the Old OFF-PREMISE Fire Ha(l. Both the Plannin~ Commission and the City Planner have PARKING - recommended approval of the CUP. OLD FIRE fIALL There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Scalze, seconded by Morelan, the public hearing was closed.
